Hey there,
I’m in Germany this week to visit my mom. After the stretch of cold, wet weather we’ve been having in Ireland, a few days of spring sunshine and warm temperatures are going to feel like a reward.
My mom can’t walk anymore, so the best version of this trip is me getting her outside in her wheelchair and finding somewhere with a bench and a bit of light. She’s not in her own place anymore and she’s sad about that. I miss her. I can’t fix that part. What I can do is bring her good chocolate and an afternoon in the sun.
What’s on the Desk
Still editing Spirit Elfen, but I can see the end. The third and final book in the trilogy is already queued up on the desk, and I am very much hoping that one won’t take me as long as this one has.

1. What’s the first thing you noticed about Adi?
Her stillness. Most people fidget when they’re afraid. She went very still, the way a deer does before it bolts. I knew right then she’d been hunted before.
2. What do you do when you can’t sleep?
Walk. Usually outside. Sometimes I sit on the porch and watch the treeline until whatever’s out there decides I’m not worth the trouble.
3. Slow burn or stubborn burn?
Both. I don’t waste fire on things that won’t last.
4. What scares you?
Walking into a room and finding she isn’t in it.
