What I’m Reading
Three books that wrecked my sleep schedule this month:
I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com by Kimberly Lemming. Dorothy gets dropped on a planet full of dinosaurs, and two gorgeous horned aliens both claim she’s their fated mate. Polyamorous alien love triangle with the funniest internal monologue I’ve read all year. I snort-laughed so much it woke my husband.
Why Did The Alien Cross The Galaxy? To Find a Fake Boyfriend and Befriend a Vacuum Cleaner by A.M. Rose. The title alone sold me. It’s a holiday romance with an alien who does not understand human holidays, and the vacuum cleaner subplot is somehow the emotional core of the whole book. Weird and wonderful.
Moss’d in Space by Rebecca Thorne. A sentient moss computer with abandonment issues. A grumpy immortal alien. Banter for days. This one is sweet and odd and I loved every page of it.
